SUMMARY: The Apostle Paul declares his name, his office, his ministry and the gospel he proclaims; states the recipients of this letter and then greets them
  I.  THE IDENTIFICATION OF THE WRITER VERSES 1:1-6
A.  The Writer:
1.  His Name: Paul, (1a)
2.  His Position:
a.  In General Terms: a bond-servant of Christ Jesus, (1b)
b.  In Specific Gift: called as an apostle, (1c)
c.  In Area of Service: set apart for the gospel of God, (1d)
B.  The Ministry (The Gospel of God):
1.  Its Prior Declaration:
a.  The Agents: through His prophets (2b)
b.  The Location: in the holy Scriptures, (2c)
2.  Its Subject: concerning His Son, (3a)
C.  The Subject of the Gospel (His Son):
1.  His Physical Qualifications: who was born of a descendant of David according to the flesh, (3b)
